If you are on the skinnier side, you don’t have to settle for stuff that make you look like a clothes hanger or something so tight that you look even skinnier.
You can choose from a whole lot of options lying somewhere in between
1. Layered clothing
Layered clothing is a boon for skinnier women, since it makes them look fuller while at the same time, setting off their contours in smart definitions.
Pull on an over-shirt on top of a fitted T-shirt or wear a shrug over something tight underneath. We even spotted a rather skinny girl sport a bikini bra with spaghetti strings on top of that and a jacket finally. You can play around with colours and the effect was pretty .
2. Strappy tops and flared skirts
Team up spaghetti or noodle string tops with flare knee length skirts. It will take focus away from the upper body and add an interesting element to the lower.
Top it off with a denim jacket if you’d like, but a rather slim fit one.
3. Tight flare denims or carpenter pants
Tight pencil pants would make skinny women even skinnier, so it’s a good idea to avoid those, unless you are after the anorexic look! Go instead for pants with a tight flare at the bottoms or classic straight cuts that don’t taper too much at the end.
But if you are wearing something like this, make sure you put on high heeled sandals, else you might just end up looking a little short.
Wear something low waist. After all, if you are skinny you’re sure to have the advantage of a super flat stomach, so show some midriff once in a while. Carpenter pants paired with fitted T-shirts would look good too if you are somebody with a slight built.
4. Fitted tops styled with stoles
Rather than opting for something baggy (which would do nothing to make you look less skinny) get yourself fitted tops and T-shirts and a whole variety of stoles to go with them. Play with color and contrasts so that the eye focuses more on that than your small upper frame.
An appropriately selected stole or scarf would even add a touch of style to your entire outfit.
5. Long sleeved kurtis and jeans
Long sleeves or three quarter sleeves can add an extra bit of volume to your overall appearance. So, it’s a good idea to select slightly fitted kurtis with longer sleeves to be paired with jeans.
Stoles will look pretty with this kind of ensemble too. Then again, play around with colors and textures.
Small and petite are surely sexy in their own way. Saw this written on a skinny girl’s T-shirt: ‘Deep within God is a nano-technologist!’
